Click on your profile image or initial in the upper right-hand corner of any GroupTools page and select profile.
At the bottom of the profile page, click the button to the right of PayPal/Venmo to enable, and a new modal will open.
In the modal, click the Create/Connect a PayPal Account Button and you will be directed to PayPal to complete the process.
Connecting an Existing PayPal Account
PayPal will prompt you to enter your email address, enter the one associated with your existing PayPal Account, and click the Next button.
You will be taken to a login screen, your email will be pre-populated, enter your password in the associated field then click the Login button.
If you logged in with a personal account: You will be asked if you would like to use your account for business or personal purposes. Select the appropriate option for you and click the Next button.
You will receive a success message, click the Return to GroupTools button and you will be taken back to your profile page where you have now successfully enabled PayPal with Venmo.
Creating and Connecting a New PayPal Account
PayPal will prompt you to enter your email address, enter the one associated with your existing PayPal Account, and click the Next button.
You will be prompted to choose between registering a Personal Account or a Business Account.
Personal Account Steps
Enter your mobile phone number and click Next. When creating a personal account, you'll need to provide a mobile phone number to verify your account. As soon as you click Next, PayPal will send a confirmation code to that phone number via SMS.
Enter the code you received and click the Continue button. You will be taken to a form to input your personal information for the account.
Enter all required information, including your full name, and create a secure password for your account. (Note: Be sure to use your full legal name to avoid any issues transferring money to and from your bank account.) then click Next to continue.
Follow the on-screen instructions to create your account. After providing all details, you'll need to agree to PayPal's terms and policies before you can start using your account. Once you agree, you'll be ready to set up your account so you can send and receive money.
Once you have completed the on-screen setup process with PayPal, you will receive a success message, click the Return to GroupTools button and you will be taken back to your profile page where you have now successfully enabled PayPal with Venmo.
Business Account Steps
Enter your business email and click Next.
Enter the address of your business, provide all additional requested details, and create a secure password for your account then click Next to continue.
Enter the additional requested business details including the type of business then click next to continue.
Follow the on-screen instructions to create your account. After providing all details, you'll need to agree to PayPal's terms and policies before you can start using your account. Once you agree, you'll be ready to set up your account so you can send and receive money.
Once you have completed the on-screen setup process with PayPal, you will receive a success message, click the Return to GroupTools button and you will be taken back to your profile page where you have now successfully enabled PayPal with Venmo.
Disabling PayPal with Venmo
Click on your profile image or initial in the upper right-hand corner of any GroupTools page and select profile.
At the bottom of the profile page, click the button to the right of PayPal/Venmo to disable, and a new modal will open.
In the Modal, Click the Remove PayPal Account button.
You will be shown a success message and the steps to revoke permissions for GroupTools from your PayPal account if you so choose. Click the Continue button and the modal will close. You have successfully disabled PayPal with Venmo.
